Golf Competes at AAC Fall Preview
Adairsville, Georgia- The Brenau golf team placed seventh at the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Fall Preview, hosted at the Barnsley Gardens Resort on Monday and Tuesday.
The Golden Tigers shot a 362-359-721 in the tournament to place ahead of St. Andrews (NC) University, Columbia (SC) College and Montreat (NC) College.
Individually, junior McKenzie McRee led the Golden Tigers by placing in a tie for 26th place. The Jefferson, Ga. native shot an 85-90-175 (+29) to pace the squad, while freshman Kaylee Stickney added an 86-93-179 (+33) to place T32nd.
Junior Haylee Rhodes improved eleven shots on the second day of competition to shoot 97-86-183 (+37) to finish 39th, while freshman Sasha Baker posted a 97-90-187 (+41) to place T43rd. Sophomore Ylenia Bennasar added a 45th place finish with a two-day total of 94-94-188.
Truett McConnell (Ga.) University's Min Ji Kang shot a 75-73-148 (+2) to earn low medalist honors, while Milligan (Tenn) University captured team honors with a 647.
The Golden Tigers have now concluded the 2021 fall schedule and will take a break before beginning spring competition.
