Golf Places Fourth at TWU Spring Invite

Niota, Tennessee- The Brenau golf team placed fourth at the TWU Spring Invite, hosted by Tennessee Wesleyan University at the Springbrook Golf and Country Club this Monday and Tuesday.

The team shot 327-335-662 (+47) to finish only six strokes behind eventual team winner Reinhardt (Ga.) University.

Individually, Haylee Rhodes led the Golden Tigers with a tie for third place. The Dallas, Texas native posted a blistering opening round 76 enroute to a 76-81-161 finish.

Freshman Eryn Blakeley (84-83-167) and junior Ylenia Alcibiade Bennasar (81-86-167) also had strong performances as both tied for 14th place at the invitational. 

Other Golden Tiger finishers include sophomore Sasha Baker (83-86-169/T21), freshman Lara Kniess (89-82-171/T23), senior McKenzie McRee (87-87-174) and sophomore Kaylee Stickney (96-83-179).

Brenau next takes the course at the AAC Direct Qualifier on April 16-18.
