On the second day of the Gulf Shores Invitational, ,the Brenau Golden Tiger softball team dropped a pair of close games- losing to Freed-Hardeman University, Tennessee 3-1 and LSU-Alexandria 2-0.
In the first game, the Brenau offense was shut down recording only three hits and stranding seven runners on base. Caitlyn Glenn's (Watkinsville, Ga.) The senior pitched seven strong innings, allowing eight hits and only two runs.
Coach Devon Thomas noted hit team's offensive struggles saying, "We did not hit the ball well today. We couldn't string hits together or get the big hit when we needed it".
The losses drop Brenau's record to 12-5. The Golden Tigers pick up next Saturday visiting conference opponent Truett-McConnell College. First pitch is at 4 pm at Truett-McConnell College in Cleveland, Ga.
