Shepherd Selected For SSAC All-Tournament Team

Jenny Shepherd (Martinez, Ga.) was named to the SSAC Conference Championship All-Tournament softball team for her play during the tournament.

In the four games, the junior hit .400 (4-10) with two home runs and two RBIs. She also pitched in two games during the tournament, capturing one win and throwing eight strikeouts.

"Jenny showed a lot of heart in her performance as she has battled injuries all season," said head coach Devon Thomas. "Her effort shows her competitive drive to win".

Earlier in the week, Shepherd was also selected as an SSAC First Team All-Conference player.
