Duggan and Parten Named 2013 Daktronics Scholar-Athletes

COLUMBUS, Ga. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced Wednesday that 286 softball student-athletes have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Central Methodist (Mo.) leads all institutions with nine individuals on the list.
Brenau's senior Lauren Parten of Hartwell, Ga., and junior Sally Duggan of Huntsville, Ala., have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
