Softball Inks Britt and Lacy
Brenau softball announces the signing of Samantha Britt and Madison Lacy to the 2014-2015 team.
Britt (top left), a graduate of Walnut Grove High School, is an All-State and Georgia Dugout Club Elite 80 selection. The standout pitcher was also an 8AAAAA All-Region player.
In her final season, Britt posted a 1.70 era with 21 wins as a pitcher and batted .343 with a slugging percentage of .476.
Lacy (top right), a graduate of Dade County High School, is the daughter of Carolyn and Kerry Lacy.
During her senior season, Lacy was named 1st team All-State. In 2013, Lacy was a 2nd team All-State player and member of a Georgia State Championship team. She was also an All-Region Selection during her high school career. Lacy will also represent Team Georgia in the 2014 Georgia/Tennessee All-Star Game.
"Britt is a very talented pitcher who will add depth to our pitching staff", said head coach Devon Thomas. "Offensively, Lacy is a power-hitting catcher who also has a strong arm and good defensive skills behind the plate".
"I expect both players to make an immediate impact in the 2015 season".
