Softball to Face Mobile in NAIA Tournament Opener

The Brenau softball team will face host University of Mobile in the opening round of the 38th Annual NAIA Softball World Series from May 14-16 in Mobile, Ala.

The Golden Tigers (28-20) will join host Mobile, Thomas (Ga.) University and Houston-Victoria (Texas) in the opening round of the tournament.

The squad will face Mobile on May 14 at 11 am central time in a round-robin formatted tournament. The team with the best record at the end of round-robin play will advance to the ten-team, double-elimination finals in Clermont, Florida on May 25.

Brenau received an automatic bid to the World Series by virtue of finishing in the AAC tournament championship game against eventual winner Truett-McConnell.
