Grooms, Patridge Receive AAC Postseason Honors
Asheville, North Carolina- Senior Faith Grooms and freshman Hannah Patridge were selected as 2021 Appalachian Athletic Conference Softball All-Conference team members, the conference announced on Monday.
Grooms received first-team All-Conference honors for her play during the 2021 season. The Commerce, Ga. native hit .440 with three homers and 33 RBIs, including a conference best 25 stolen bases. She ranks among the league leaders in most offensive categories, including first in stolen bases (25), tied for first in doubles per game (0.49), first in triples (6), fourth in batting average (.440) second in slugging percentage (.736) and second in hits per game (1.67),
Patridge finished her inaugural season as a second-team selection by posting a .420 batting average, including a team-best eight home runs and 35 RBIs. She placed among the best bats in the AAC, including first in slugging percentage (.756), tying for first in doubles per games with Grooms (0.49), third in home runs (8), fourth in batting average (.420) and fifth in RBIs (35).
