Softball Receives AAC Postseason Honors
Asheville, North Carolina- Members of the Brenau softball team received Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) postseason honors, the conference office announced on Monday.
The conference coaches voted senior Kasey Blair and sophomore Hannah Patridge as AAC second-team honors for the 2022 season.
Blair posted a .326 average at the plate for the Golden Tigers, including 31 RBIs and a team-high 13 stolen bases. The third baseman also led the squad in runs scored (41) and was third in doubles (13).
Patridge slugged her way to all-conference accolades with a team-leading .378 batting average and also 39 RBIs. The Watkinsville, Ga. native also slugged .588 and had a .391 on OBP.
Brookshire received the Champions of Character Award for the Golden Tigers. Champions of Character award winners best represent the NAIA Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.
Additionally, eleven Golden Tigers received academic accolades as Blair and Brookshire joined Turner Cole, Taryn Hitchcock, Haley Horne, Brooke Kibbe, Maygan Loparo, Alyssa Maisonet, Madison Oliver, Aly Singletary and Morgan Tyler on the AAC All-Academic team. Team members must maintain a cumulative 3.25 grade point average and achieve sophomore status.
