Standout Pitcher Commits to Brenau Softball

The Brenau University softball team and head coach Devon Thomas announces the signing of Shelby Coffey to the 2022-23 signing class.

Coffey, the daughter of Matilda and David Coffey, is a native of Loganville, Ga. and a graduate of Loganville High School. The pitcher was first team All-Region performer and an All-State honorable mention. The honor graduate was also a three year letter winner and a scholar athlete.

When asked about her commitment to Brenau, Coffey said, "The recruitment process has been extremely stressful for me this past summer, but I feel as though the interest from Coach Thomas was a blessing in disguise. I love the campus and I have loved all the people I have met so far. I am so thankful for this opportunity."

Coffey plans on majoring in nursing and is the seventh signee for the softball team.
