Softball Receives 2023 Appalachian Athletic Conference Accolades

Kingsport, Tennessee- Members of the Brenau softball team received 2023 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Softball postseason honors, the conference announced on Wednesday. 

Grad student Kasey Blair, senior Morgan Tyler and freshman Whitney Hulsey each received 2023 AAC Second Team All-Conference honors for their performances this season.

Blair hit .306 with two home runs and 16 runs batted in this season, while Tyler led the AAC with 36 stolen bases and also batted .357 at the plate. Hulsey hit .395 and posted 32 RBIs in her inaugural season with the Golden Tigers.

Additionally, junior Turner Cole earned the 2023 Brenau Champions of Character award. Champions of Character award winners best represent the NAIA Five Core Values of Integrity, Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship and Servant Leadership.

Blair, Cole and Tyler joined Brighton Harder, Taryn Hitchcock, Hannah Patridge, Sarah Shaw and Aly SIngletary on the 2023 AAC All-Academic team. Honorees must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore status.
