Hulsey and Moon Tabbed as 2025 NAIA Softball All-Americans
Kansas City, MO- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced its 2024-25 Softball All-Americans as two members of the team were honored for their performances on the field.
Junior Whitney Hulsey and sophomore Ava Moon both received NAIA third-team All-American status for their outstanding play this season for the Golden Tigers.
Hulsey, a first-team Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) performer, ranked 16th nationally with 60 RBIs after leading the conference in the category. . The Jefferson, Ga. native showed her strength at the plate with 20 total doubles, which was 13th nationally.
Moon, also a first-team AAC performer, capped off a stellar season by sitting among the nation's best in multiple offensive categories. The Watkinsville, Ga. infielder posted a blistering .500 batting average and a .555 on base percentage which were both 9th nationally. Moon was also a demon on the bases with 38 steals, which ranked 21st in the NAIA.
The pair was instrumental in the Golden Tigers; success this year as the team won 34 games and posted a run into the finals of the 2025 AAC Softball Championships. The team sported a .393 batting average which was ranked first in the NAIA and highest in team history, while also finishing 3rd in OBP (.449), 9th in total hits (539) and 9th in slugging (.526).
