#7 Lee Runs Past Brenau

Cleveland, TN- The Brenau basketball team suffered through their coldest shooting night in their history tonight, scoring only 45 points and shooting .255 from the field in a SSAC loss to league leading and #7 ranked Lee University 65-45. Senior Ashley Hagans was the only Tiger in double figures, coming up with 10 points to go with seven rebounds and Vicky Wilson tossed in eight and led the team with three assists. Lee moves to 7-0 in conference play and 16-2 overall while Brenau drops to 4-4, 12-6.Lee opened the game with a 13-2 run and it was all uphill from there for the Tigers, who struggled all night with the Flames half court defense. While BU was shooting .241 (7-29) from the field in the first half, Lee was 14-28, opening a 34-23 halftime lead. Brenau finished the game 14-55 from the field and 10-17 from the free throw line, while Lee finished 24-60 (.400) and 11-15 from the free throw stripe. The Tigers will entertain non-conference foe Reinhardt next Monday at 6 pm.
