Cold Shooting Dooms Tigers

Gainesville, GA- The Southern Poly Lady Hornets (22-2, 10-2) showed why they are the #17 ranked team in the NAIA tonight, handing the Brenau Golden Tigers (14-8, 4-6) their worst loss of the season 81-45. Ashley Hagans, the leading scorer in the SSAC, was the lone Tiger in double figures with 18. Freshman Nikki Reed added nine points and four steals. Dione Parks led three Hornets in double figures with 23. Brenau actually jumped out to a 13-2 lead, but went cold from the field after that and only managed to shoot .264 from the field while Southern Poly was hitting at a 50% clip. The TIgers also uncharacteristically turned the ball over 33 times. Next up for Brenau is another SSAC matchup with Brewton Parker on Saturday at home.
