Hagans and Reed Receive Conference Awards

Rome, Ga- Senior Ashley Hagans and Freshman Nikki Reed were recognized at the SSAC Basketball Banquet on Wednesday night. Hagans is a repeat member of the All Conference team and finished as the second leading scorer in the league at 18.2 ppg. She also finished 3rd in free throw percentage (.765), third in steals (71), 15th in rebounding (5.13) and 19th in assists (1.9). Ashley was an Honorable Mention All American last year and reached the 1,000 point plateau this year in less than two seasons.Reed was named to the All Freshman team, averaging 8.3 points and 4.0 rebounds for the Tigers this season. She became a starter in December and was also selected as the Champion of Character representative for Brenau.
