Wiley Named Golden Tiger of the Week

Gainesville, Ga - The coaching staff at Brenau University has selected Freshman Brittney Wiley (Royston) as Golden Tiger of the Week for the week of Nov. 30-Dec. 7. Wiley is the starting point guard on the Tigers basketball team and scored 33 points, doled out eight assists and had five steals in three games last week.
Brenau (7-1) went 2-1 during the week, defeating Morris, SC at home and Spring Hill, AL on the road before losing their first game of the season on Saturday against Mobile, AL. Wiley runs the offense for the Tigers and fuels their fast break style of play. She also calls the defenses and starts the pressing style for her teammates.
"Brittney may be short in stature but she has the heart of a Tiger and has become indispensible for us already," said Coach Gary Bays. "Our quick start this season is primarily due to her consistency at both ends of the floor."
