Brenau Basketball Players Receive Academic Awards

The Brenau University basketball team has placed two of its players on the SSAC All-Academic Team for 2011. Sophomore Sarah Ward (Elberton, GA) and sophomore Jasmyn Farmer (Lilburn, GA) were both honored with this exceptional award for their academic excellence in the classroom. Student-athlete nominees must have earned at least 24 semester hours of college level work and have attained a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. This is the first time they have been recipients of this outstanding achievement.

"These two athletes have drive on and off the court. They have demonstrated they are competent to excel in a high level sport while maintaining high academic standards. We're extremely proud of their representation of Brenau in this capacity," commented Athletic Director Mike Lochstampfor.
