Brenau Unable To Overcome Southern Wesleyan

Central, SC - The Brenau basketball team looked to finish their season with a win over the Southern Wesleyan University Warriors, but were unable to take advantage of their lead by 9 points at halftime and eventually succumbed to a loss of 74-78. The Tigers battled hard, and at one point in the 2nd half, were up by 11 points. However, the Warriors were able to keep up with some respectable shooting from their senior leaders Natasha Eddings and Kayla Plantin, and eventually, won the key points to clinch the victory.
Four Brenau players shot in the double figures: Brittney Wiley with 15 pts. and 3 assists, Tala Black with 15 points, Sarah Ward with 13 points, and sophomore captain Gabby Harvey with 13 pts. Harvey also pulled down an amazing 18 rebounds which helped Brenau win the rebounding contest, 49-42.
The Golden Tigers end their season 6th in the SSAC eastern division with a record of 5-11 and an overall record of 13-16.
