No. 20 Warkawks Edge Scrappy Brenau Team.
MONTGOMERY, Ala., January 5 – The Brenau University Golden Tigers basketball team fell 63-60 to No. 20 nationally ranked Auburn University of Mongomery Warhawks in a conference game Saturday, Jan. 5.
With the lead changing hands 11 times in the game, the Golden Tigers outshot the home team Warhawks from the field but lagged well behind in free-throw shooting accuracy. The Brenau team outscored AUM 51-50 from the field, but hit only 9 of 16 from the free throw line to AUM's 13 of 19.

The Golden Tigers hit 46 percent of their field goals in the first half, but cooled to 35 in the second. Although that still beat the Warhawks shooting accuracy of 35 and 31 percent, the AUM hit 75 percent of the shots from the free throw line in the first half and 68 percent in the second compared with Brenau's 42 and 56.
