Golden Tigers Basketball Picked 6th in Preseason Poll
The Brenau Golden Tigers basketball team was voted 6th out of 8 teams in the East and 13th out of 16 in the overall SSAC preseason rankings.
Faulkner University and Southern Poly, both NAIA top-25 teams in 2012-2013, finished tied atop the overall preseason standings. Auburn-Montgomery University, also a top-25 vote-getter last season, was picked close behind the favorites in third place. All three teams play in the SSAC East.
The Golden Tigers finished last season with a 15-15 record, which was equal to third-most win total in program history. Brenau returns eight players, including two-time, SSAC All-East division selection Brittany Wiley (Royston, GA) and three-year standout Tala Black (Marietta, GA).
Brenau opens the season on November 2nd at 7:30 when they travel to play Montreat (NC) College.
