Bunting Commits to Brenau Basketball
Brenau basketball announces the signing of Jamie Bunting to the 2016-17 team.
Bunting is from Richmond Hill, Georgia and was a player for both Richmond Hill High School and the Savannah Lady Tigers AAU team.
Bunting averaged 12 points per game, three rebounds and two steals during her final season and was a two-time team Most Valuable Player for Richmond Hill. Bunting was honored as 3-AAAAA Second-Team All-Region player during her senior season and an honorable mention All-Region selection during her junior year.
"Meeting the girls and the coach made Brenau feel like home the moment I walked on campus," said Bunting about her commitment. "I also wanted to be on a team that works hard and wants to win."
"Being part of the Brenau basketball program brings me so much joy and I am ready to work hard every step of the way."
When asked about signing Bunting, head coach Kris Stewart noted, "Jamie is a good shooter and brings a tireless work ethic to our program. She will help us in a number of ways and I am very glad to have her as a Golden Tiger!"
Bunting, who is undecided on her major, is the second signee for the 2016-17 academic year.
