Basketball Inks Cannon for 2020-2021

The Brenau basketball team and head coach Kris Stewart announces the signing of Hanna Cannon to the 2020-21 team.

Cannon, the daughter of Cindy and Lance Cannon, was a four-year player at Rabun County High School in Tiger, Ga.

During her high school career, Cannon was a team captain and All-Region performer for head coach Dee Dee Dillard. In her senior season, the 6'0 guard averaged seven points, four rebounds, two steals and shot 35% from three point range to helped her team post a 23-4 record and a top-ten finish in class AA. She also played travel basketball with E.O.T.O and head coach Jerry Wright.

Academically, Cannon was the president of FCA, the secretary for SADD and a member of the National Art Honor Society.

When asked about her commitment to Brenau, Cannon said, "I'm super excited to have the opportunity to attend Brenau University and play basketball! I love the school and the atmosphere. I can't wait to begin my journey as a Golden Tiger."

Cannon, who plans on pursuing a nursing degree, is the first signee for the 2020-21 basketball team.
