Basketball Inks Moore for 2020-21
The Brenau team and head coach Kris Stewart announce the signing of Nyla Rose Moore to the 2020-21 team.
Moore, the daughter of Tiffany Travis Rose, Regis Moore and Philander Rose, is a student at Dacula High School in Dacula, Ga.
During her senior season at Dacula, Moore was named the 2019-20 team Most Valuable Player and helped her team to a 26-4 record. The 5'8 point guard averaged 10 points, 4.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 2.9 steals per game for head coach Jason Adams. She holds Dacula records for both assists in a season (464) and career steals (278) and was named as a multiple all-region performer.
Academically, Moore is a member of the National Junior Honors Society, a Peer Leader and an honor graduate.
When asked about Moore's commitment, head coach Kris Stewart said, "Nyla is a true point guard and floor general. She makes winning plays and comes from a very successful program. I believe she will be an immediate impact player for us."
Moore plans on majoring in exercise science and is the third signee for the 2020-21 team.
