Basketball Receives 2024 AAC Postseason Honors
Waleska, Georgia- Members of the Brenau basketball team received 2024 Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) women’s basketball postseason honors, the conference office announced on Wednesday.
Senior Nyla Moore received 2024 AAC All-Conference second-team honors for her play this season. The Dacula, Ga. native averaged a career-best 19 points per game, which placed her fourth in scoring in the conference. Moore also earned two AAC Player of the Week awards and posted a career-high 34 points on two separate occasions this season.
Fellow senior Hanna Cannon received the team’s Champions of Character award. The award goes to the student-athlete who best exemplifies the NAIA Five Core Values of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
Additionally, Moore joined fellow seniors Taylor Green and Pollie Simpson, juniors Kayla Stafford and Taylor Williams, and sophomores Anna Gliatta, Ellie Kinlaw, and Alana Veiga as 2024 AAC All-Academic team members for their academic performance.
Team members must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average and have achieved at least sophomore status.
