Stafford Tabbed as AAC Defensive Player of the Week

Waleska, Georgia- Senior post Kayla Stafford was named as the AAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week of November 11-17th, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Stafford, who averaged a balanced 11.7 points and 11.7 rebounds on the week, notched two double-doubles this week in wins against conference rival Reinhardt and Agnes Scott College. Against Reinhardt, the McDonough, Ga. native posted 14 points, 14 rebounds, and 2 blocks. She also had 9 points and 9 rebounds in a loss to Hollins University. For the season, she is averaging 8 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks.

This is Stafford's first AAC Players of the Week honor this season and the second of her career.
