Flinn Earns AAC Basketball Defensive Player of the Week Honors
Waleska, Georgia- Sophomore Jael Flinn earned Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Women's Basketball Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Flinn snagged 32 defensive rebounds and blocked 7 shots as Brenau went 2-0 on the week. She posted back to back double-doubles by averaging 14.0 points and 21.0 rebounds per game.
In a win over Columbia, the 6 '0 post pulled down a career-high 24 rebounds, then followed up with 16 boards in a win over Columbia International.
This is Flinn's first AAC Player of the Week honor and the second AAC Athlete of the Week for the Golden Tigers basketball team this season.
