Golf Competes At First Spring Tournament
In the opening match of the season, the Brenau Golf Team showed well in tough weather conditions at the Berry College/Coosa Invitational hosted in Rome, Georgia.
Senior Kelly Garland (83-82--165) was the highest Golden Tiger finisher, placing 18th overall. Freshman Morgan Wood (97-95--192) finished tied for 58th place, while fellow freshman Lauren Smith (102-98-200) finished 63rd.
-"After two very tough days to be out on the course, each player was able to show exactly why I wanted them to be Golden Tigers," said head coach Damon Stancil. "While they were not satisfied with their scores, I was thoroughly impressed with their resilience and mental toughness. They conducted themselves with class, fought hard to post the best scores possible and displayed the type of character that winning programs are built upon".
The Golden Tigers next play in the SCAD-Atlanta Spring Invitational on March 17th and 18th.
