Golf Signs Albany Standout For 2014-2015
Brenau University golf announces the signing of LaKese Brown to the 2014-2105 team.
Brown, a native of Albany, Georgia, is a standout golfer and student at Sherwood Christian Academy who was a four year state tournament competitor and low medalist at the 2013 Colquitt Tournament.
Her success also extends to academics where she was a member of the National Honor Society and enrolled in both Advanced Placement and Honors courses. Brown intends to pursue a Nursing major at Brenau.
When asked about her decision to attend Brenau, Brown mentioned the comfort of the University and the direction of the first year program. "Brenau University had such a unique feeling unlike any of the big universities that I visited", said Brown. "Upon my visit at Winter Weekend, I knew I could see myself here next fall. I am thrilled to begin a new chapter of my life and excited for what's to come with Brenau's Golf program".
Coach Damon Stancil noted that Brown adds to both the program and University in all areas. "I am excited about about LaKese's commitment to Brenau and what she will bring to the Golden Tigers Golf Team in 2014! She is a perfect fit for our team in terms of character, academics, and skill on the course."
Brown is the fourth commitment for the golf team, which returns two letter winners from its inaugural season.
