Golf Takes Fourth At SSAC Roundup
The Brenau golf team had a strong fourth place finish at the SSAC Fall Preview at Arrowhead Country Club in Montgomery, Alabama on Tuesday.
Three Golden Tigers placed in the top-20 and the team shot a two-day total of 316-323-639 to finish ahead of Loyola (La.), Coastal Georgia, Mobile (Ala.) and Bethel (Tenn.).
Newcomer Ashley Omidi led the squad with a 77-79-156 to tie for 10th place. Sara Jane Bowers added a consistent 80-80-160, while teammate Megan Reddick shot 77-83-12 to both place in a tie for 20th place.
Morgan Wood (82-81-163) and Olivia Davis (90-93-183) placed 26th and T41st respectively.
Reigning conference champions Dalton State (Ga.) placed first, while Faulkner (Ala.) and William Carey (Miss.) rounded out the top three.
The SSAC Fall Preview marks the end of the fall season as the squad now looks ahead to the spring.
