Wood Named SSAC Golfer of the Week

Morgan Wood was named SSAC Women's Golfer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday.

The awards are based on performance for the week of April 10-16.

Wood shot even-par 144 (75, 69) to finish second individually and lead the team to a first place finish at the Phoenix Invitational.

The senior shot a personal best for 18-hole score (69) and 36-hole score, while the team also set records for 18-hole (298) and 36-hole (610) scores. She also helped the Golden Tigers earn their second-straight win and beat out No. 22 Cumberland and NCAA-II Trevecca Nazarene.
