Baker Commits to Golden Tigers Golf Team

The Brenau University golf team and head coach Jason De Jiacomo announces the signing of Sasha Baker to the 2020-21 team.

Baker, the daughter of Jen and Tim Baker, is a native of Dunnville, Ontario and was a standout athlete at Dunnville Secondary School.

During her prep career, Baker was a multi-sport athlete who also competed in volleyball, basketball and rugby. As a golfer, she was a member of Team Niagara as part of Golf Ontario's regional training program. She was the Dunnville Golf Athlete of the Year four times and the high school Zone Tournament Champion three times. She was a four-time All-Ontario qualifier and placed sixth in the OFSSA qualifier her senior year.

When asked about her commitment, Baker said, "I am beyond excited to be joining the Golden Tiger family. Can't wait for the next four years!"

Coach De Jiacomo noted, ""I am extremely excited to have Sasha joining the BU Golf program! This young woman will bring her passion for the game and commitment to both golf and academics. She will join her fellow incoming freshman, Ylenia, this upcoming season and I can't wait to see what these two talented players can bring to this program!"

Baker is the second signee for the Golden Tigers golf program.
