Golfers Receive WGCA Scholars Award

CORAL SPRINGS, Florida – The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) named four members of the Brenau University golf team as a WGCA All-American Scholars for their academic performance this past week.

Graduating senior Niquole Mangal, junior Macie Hurst and freshmen Abby Akin and McKenzie McRee all received the All-American Scholar Team award, which is one of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.

"I am extremely proud of these young women and all their hard work to achieve this recognition," said head coach Jason Di Jiacomo. "To keep up their grades while putting in all the work we do on the course, at tournaments, in the gym, and everywhere else is a true testament to their work ethic and character. Congratulations to them and keep it up!"
