Golf Competes at Rain-Shortened East Tennessee Tournament
Johnson City, Tennessee- The Brenau golf team competed at the East Tennessee Collegiate golf tournament at Johnson City Country Club in Johnson City, Tennessee on Monday.
Due to inclement weather conditions, the match was halted after only one day of play and teams were unable to post day two scores.
Freshman Ylenia Alcibiade continued her strong start for the Golden Tigers with a 79 (+7) to finish in a three-way tie for eleventh place.
Senior Macie Hurst also had a solid showing by shooting an 81 (+9) to place tied for 18th, while sophomore McKenzie McRee added an 86 (+14) to tie for 32nd.
Other Golden Tigers finishers include Annika Blanton, who shot an 87 (+15) to tie for 36th and sophomore Haylee Rhodes, who added a 97 (+25) to place 54th.
Individually, Carlee Shoemaker of the University of Cumberlands was the low medalist with a score of 71.
Cumberlands also captured top team honors with a score of 308, while host Milligan University placed second with a 314.
Brenau next competes at the AAC Preview at Chateau Elon in Braselton, Ga. on October 19th and 20th.
