Golf Edges Point to Open 2024 Spring Season

Mt. Gilead, NC- The Golden Tigers golf team battled through tough weather elements to defeat Point (Ga.) University in a dual match this past weekend.

The Golden Tigers started well as sophomore Laura Kniess won her match 6-5, while fellow sophomore Eryn Blakeley added a 3-2 victory. After the host Skyhawks defeated senior Ylenia Alcibiade Bennasar and junior Sasha Baker to square the match at 2-2, the teams went to a 4x4 playoff to decide the match. Brenau played solidly, shooting a +1 gross score to edge past Point and earn the team victory.

Brenau continues the spring season at the Chattahoochee Collegiate Invitational in Gainesville, Ga. on March 11th and 12th.
