Brenau Soccer Wins Sixth Straight

Waleska, GA- Lauren Hagin scored the only goal of the match as Brenau defeated Reinhardt 1-0 today for their sixth straight win and eighth of the last nine to run their season record to 8-2-1. Hagin scored off a double assist from Lily Futrell and Taylor Bates to provide all the scoring in the match at the 32 minute mark of the first half.The Tigers actually dominated the match, outshooting the Eagles 9-3 and controlling the middle of the field. Marilyn Anderson and Futrell were cited by Coach Locstampfor for outstanding overall play. "We were playing a little shorthanded with some injuries and illness, but our players stepped up and filled in the gaps to bring home a nice win," said Lochstampfor. The Tigers will have a week to get healed up before their next outing on the 17th at Milligan, TN.
