SSAC Recognizes Four Brenau Soccer Players

Atlanta, GA- The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) has released the Women's Soccer All Conference teams, and four Brenau players were named to the Second Team. Seniors Lily Futrell and Marilyn Anderson and Junior Lisa Lesnick were repeat selections from 2008 and Lily's sister Tori made the team for the first time. Earlier this season, Lily became the all time scoring leader in Brenau soccer history and all four players were selected as Golden Tiger of the Week during the season.Brenau finished the season with an overall record of 9-7-2, which is their second winning season in a row and third of the last four, and a conference mark of 4-4-1, good enough for a tie for fourth place during the regular season. Anderson, Lily Futrell, Innis Ette, Alyssa Schmucker and Leanne Rowley will all graduate, but Coach Mike Lochstampfor will return a good nucleus for next season.
