Rowley and Hagin Honored as Scholar Athletes

DECATUR, Ala. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced that a total of 387 women's soccer student-athletes have been named 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Women's Soccer Scholar-Athletes. Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify. Senior Leanne Rowley (Brampton, Ontario) and Junior Lauren Hagin (Hiram) have been selected from the Brenau soccer team. Both young ladies have distinguished themselves as outstanding players and students while helping the Tigers soccer program maintain its position as one of the top three programs in the SSAC. Both were honored by the conference earlier, being named to the SSAC Scholar Athlete team.
