Brenau Loses to NCAA II Young Harris

Gainesville, Ga - The Brenau Golden Tigers locked up in a defensive struggle tonight against NCAA II Young Harris College and came up short, 1-0. The only goal of the game occured midway through the second half on a corner kick when the ball got knocked down and fell at the feet of a Young Harris player.

Brenau controlled most of the first half, but just couldn't create any scoring opportunities. Senior Dolapo Obahor took on the responsibility of marking the best player for the visitors and did a nice job of controlling her. Young Harris ended up outshooting the Tigers 17-6, but only eight of those shots were on target and Lisa Lesnick took care of those with saves. The goalie from the visitors ended up with four saves.

"We are having difficulty creating scoring opportunities and we need to get more connected in our offensive attack," said Coach Mike Lochstampfor. "We are doing a good job at the defensive end of the field."

Brenau will return to action next Thursday, Oct. 7 at Allen Creek when they host Milligan, TN.
