Golden Tiger of the Week Goes to Dolapo Obahor

Gainesville, Ga. - The awards continue to pour in for Senior Midfielder Dolapo Obahor (Kaduna, Nigeria), who was named Golden Tiger of the Week today for the week of Oct. 19-26 by the coaching staff at Brenau University. Obahor was also named SSAC Offensive Player of the Week yesterday for her performances in two games last week.
Dola scored five goals in the two games, which both held great importance in the race for the post-season tournament. She started off the week by scoring three goals against Columbia, SC during a 5-0 rout by the Tigers. Obahor followed that up with two more goals in the Brewton Parker game, which proved to be the only scores in that match.
"Dola was tremendous in our two games last week and she stepped up to get us going offensively.
She was all over the field and her play inspired her teammates in those games, which were very important to our post-season hopes," said Head Coach Mike Lochstampfor.
Brenau will play Southern Wesleyan tonight at 7 pm in another important game as the Tigers fight for a post-season berth.
