Conkin Signs With Brenau Soccer
Brenau soccer announces the signing of Jasmine Conkin to the 2014-2015 soccer team.
Conkin, a standout at Bob Jones High School in Madison, Alabama, is the daughter of Natasha and Michael Zizzo.
According to her high school coach, Tony Schroeder, Conkin is a talented player and dependable teammate.
"She's a hard worker who is always supportive and there when the girls need her. She's a very aggressive, smart player".
Conkin noted that the combination of a successful program and family atmosphere at Brenau was important to her.
"It feels amazing to be able to know where I'm going to college and that I have people behind me to support me and I will have a great time at Brenau," Conkin said. "The team has had so much success and the girls there were so loving so it's a great opportunity to play soccer and further my education".
Brenau Head Coach Mike Lochstampfor was very pleased to add the defender to his nationally-ranked squad.
"I'm excited to have Jasmine join our program! She will certainly add depth to our defensive unit," said Lochstampfor. "She's a wonderful person and a great match for Brenau University in many ways and I look forward to coaching her this fall."
