Restificar Commits to Brenau Soccer

Brenau soccer announces the signing of Shelly Restificar to the 2014-2015 team.

A native of Rock Hill, SC, Restificar is the daughter of Rene and Teresita Restificar and a graduate of South Pointe High School.

As a senior, Restificar was named as an All-State and All-Region selection. During her high school career, the offensive captain started 60 matches, scoring 62 goals with 21 assists for the Stallions. Restificar also played club for the South Carolina FC U18G Elite and was a two-year participant on the ODP (Olympic Development Program) 96 team under Coach Karrie Miller.

An excellent student, Restificar plans on majoring in either business or Biology.

"I am thrilled to get a defender of Shelly's caliber this year--especially in light of the fact that our back line is losing (to graduation) two veteran defenders that were a big part of the success we enjoyed last year," said head coach Mike Lochstampfor. "I believe Shelly has the ability to step in and play a significant defensive role immediately. Additionally, she has the technical ability and pace to help out on the attacking end of the field. She has achieved a great deal academically as well and is a great addition to Brenau and our soccer program!"
