Soccer Drops Two SSAC Road Matches

The Brenau soccer teams lost a pair of road Southern States Athletic Conference matches against #3 William Carey and #7 Mobile this past weekend.

Against William Carey, the Golden Tigers allowed four first half goals to find themselves in a significant halftime deficit. The Crusaders added a fifth goal in the second half to finish off the match 5-0.

Keepers Anela Melton and Ashley Spring combined for 4 saves for Brenau.

On Saturday against Mobile, the Brenau defense held strong for 77 minutes until the Rams' Tyler-Rae Molloy scored two late goals to help the host team escape with the win.

Keeper Ashley Spring saved eight shots on goal in the loss.

Brenau (5-5 overall, 1-2 SSAC) next travels to St. Andrews (NC) College for a non-conference matchup on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
