Balkiz Commits To Brenau Soccer

Brenau soccer announces the signing of Destiny Balkiz to the 2017-18 team.

Balkiz was a standout for both Lumpkin County High School and the UFA 98G Red Club soccer teams. During her high school career, she served as a team captain and helped lead her team to elite eight and final four appearances. She also received All-Area soccer honors during her interscholastic career.

"Destiny will make a great addition to our team and likely will see a lot of playing time in the middle of the field where she has a great ability to hold and distribute the ball," said head coach Mike Lochstampfor of his latest signee. "She is a creative player with good attacking skills and I'm looking forward to what she will add to our team!"

Balkiz, who plans on majoring in Business Administration, is the second signee of the 2017-18 class for the Brenau soccer team.
