Soccer Inks Ramirez For 2018-19
The Brenau soccer team announces the signing of Daphne Ramirez to the 2018-19 team.
Ramirez, the daughter of Celeste and Renzo Ramirez, was a standout player for Alcovy High School in Covington, Ga.
The goalkeeper was a four-year starter and two-time team Most Valuable Player for the Alcovy Tigers. During her senior season, Ramirez saved 35 shots between the pipes to post a 90% save percentage.
She also excelled academically, graduating with honors and serving as a member of both the Beta Club and National Honors Society.
"Brenau was the first school I had ever visited during my recruiting process, and I fell in love immediately," said Ramirez. "The campus is beautiful and it truly feels like home. I cannot wait for my future here, and the season cannot come fast enough!"
Ramirez is the sixth signee for head coach Mike Lochstampfor and the Golden Tigers.
