Soccer Falls to Union 4-0 in AAC Competition

Barbourville, Kentucky- The Brenau soccer team struggled in a 4-0 loss to Union (Ky.) College in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday.

Union (5-8-1 overall, 4-4-1 AAC) scored two goals in the first half and added two in the second period to capture the conference win.

The Golden Tigers outshot the host Bulldogs 14-10, including posting eleven shots in the second half, but the squad was unable to find the back of the net in the loss.

Union's Anna Vila posted a strong match with two goals and two assists.

Sophomore Itzel Rivera led Brenau with three shots on goal, while junior Mackenzie Callas added two shots.

Brenau keeper Daphne Ramirez saved two shots on goal, while Union keeper notched eight saves in the match.

Brenau (4-7 overall, 4-4 AAC) next hosts Reinhardt (Ga.) University on Wednesday at 7:00 pm at Allen Creek Soccer Complex.
