Tigers Win Brenau Invitational Swim Meet

Gainesville, GA- Brenau's super six took on teams from Berry, King and LaGrange yesterday in the Brenau Invitational and came away with a victory, scoring 112 points and easing past King with 95. Berry scored 41 and LaGrange finished with 11. The Tigers won both relays, with the foursome of Ana Galesic, Julia Ferreira, Lucianne Kimura and Mairi Morrison recording a 1:58.39 in the 200 Medley and 8:38.90 in the 800 Free.Kimura was again the workhorse for the home team, recording two individual firsts in the 200 Back (2:18.27) and 200 Butterfly (2:19.44) and a fifth place in the 100 Free (59.91) in addition to her relay victories. Morrison also won two individual events, the 50 Free (25.98) and the 100 Free (55.81). Galesic picked up a 2nd in the 100 Free (57.31), a 3rd in the 200 Free (2:08.32) and 4th in the 200 Back. Ferreira placed in three individual events, winning the 200 Breast (2:43.97) finishing 3rd in the 400 IM (5:20.94) and 6th in the 50 Free (27.38). Sarah Fell won the 1650 Free in 19:43.81, placed 2nd in the 500 Free (5:51.91) and 6th in the 200 Butterfly. Lauren Harville won the 500 Free in 5:50.65 and finished second to Fell in the 1650 Free in 20:21.01.
