Swimming Competes at UNC-Asheville
Brenau Swimming fell to NCAA Division I University of North Carolina-Asheville 135-68 in a dual meet on Friday.
Golden Tigers took home three first place victories and several season best times in the meet. Sophomores Courtney Hayward finished first in the 1000 Freestyle (10:47.48) and 200 IM (2:16.37), while Talia Sola won the100 Backstroke (59.73).
Other top swims were had by Michelle Billeaud in the 100 Butterfly (1:00.69), Ella Kleinschmidt in the 100 Freestyle (55.73), and M.K. Jabbia in the 100 Breaststroke (1:12.38).
"UNC Asheville is a fantastic team to swim against during the early season because it really pushes us outside our comfort zone, challenging everyone to step up and race at a higher level," said head coach Blaire Bachman. "We struggled to find the speed we were looking for today, but I'm pleased that several individuals saw race improvements throughout the meet".
The Golden Tigers next travel to Sewanee, Tennessee for the University of the South Invitational on October 31st.
