Swim Tigers Outstanding at Emory

In a double dual against NCAA DIII Emory University and NAIA SCAD, Brenau Swimming fell to the host team (184-66) and to the Bees (136.50-124.50).

The 200 Medley Relay team of Sola, Jabbia, Billeaud and Nasstrom secured a top finish, touching at (1:51.93).

Hayward and Kleinschmidt took 5th and 6th in the 200 Free, going 1:57.98 and 1:58.06, respectively.

Sophomore Talia Sola, placed 3rd in the 100 & 200 Backstroke, hitting the wall at (58.38) and (2:07.92).

Jabbia touched 3rd in the 100 BR (1:09.31) and 4th in the 200 BR (2:31.99). Freshman, Sarah Frey followed close behind in the 200 BR (2:33.58), qualifying for the NAIA Nationals.

Senior, Billeaud raced to the wall in the 100 fly for a touch out, going 1:00.26.

Distance swimmers Hayward and Kleinschmidt brought the team to a tied score with SCAD, and finished 4th and 6th in the 500 FR, 5:14.90 and 5:17.82.

Junior, Jabbia won the 200 IM in a season beat time of 2:16.65.

Brenau remained tied with NAIA rival SCAD by one point until the final relay of the meet, getting out touched in the 400 FR Relay (4:48.32).

"We enjoyed the opportunity to race two terrific teams in Emory and SCAD, and the atmosphere brought out our competitiveness. Our swimmers were able to achieve multiple season best times, and I'm inspired by the improvements we continue to see week to week in competition."
