Swimming Signs Georgia Standout
Brenau Swimming announces the commitment of Devin Horan to the 2015-2016 squad.
A Savannah, Georgia native, Horan attended the Savannah Arts Academy and competed year round swimming for the Georgia Coastal Aquatic Team.
As a club swimmer, Horan was a Georgia Senior State Qualifier in 2012-2014, and lettered as a varsity swimmer at her high school. She was very active member of her high school as the senior class president, member of the National Honors Society, Thespian Society and Spanish Honor Society.
While at Brenau, she plans to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
"Devin has such a wonderful energy and outgoing personality, we knew she would be a great fit at Brenau," said head coach Blaire Bachman. "She is a goal-oriented athlete and she will excel as a student-athlete. We see her immediately impacting our backstroke and butterfly groups next season and we can't wait to have her on campus as a Golden Tiger!"
When asked why she chose Brenau, Horan responded saying, "Obviously the academics, but I loved the family atmosphere I encountered at Brenau. We're like a big sisterhood!"
Horan is the first signee to the Golden Tigers Swim program for 2015-2016.
