Swim Hosts 4th Annual Brenau Invitational Meet

The Brenau swim team is hosting the 4th Annual Brenau Invitational at Francis Meadows Aquatic Center in Gainesville on Friday and Saturday as teams from four different states will compete in a competitive field.

The Golden Tigers will be joined by Berry (Ga.) College, Columbia (S.C.) College, Converse (S.C.) College, Emmanuel (Ga.) College, LaGrange (Ga.) College, Life (Ga.) University, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) College, Milligan (Tenn.) College, and defending Invitational champion SCAD-Savannah (Ga.) for two days of competitive, coed swimming.

Although there is no admission fee, Brenau will be taking donations at the meet for the Blood:Water Initiative, which helps supply clean drinking water to rural African Communities. As part of a Southern States Athletic Conference charge to its member institutions, the Golden Tigers hope to raise at least $1,000 to help this worthy cause.

The meet begins at 5:30 on Friday afternoon and will continue in two Saturday sessions, with the first from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and the concluding session from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm.
